This tour runs along the Atlantic Seaboard and a drive over Chapman's Peak (if open) with spectacular views. Continue on route to False Bay. Spend some time in Simon's Town to meet the African Penguins at Boulders Beach. Then on to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve where you can walk to the Southern tip of the Cape Peninsula. Return along the False Bay coast across a scenic route back to your accommodation.

Visit a game ranch in the Karoo; about 2 hours drive from Cape Town. This game ranch offers breakfast, lunch and a 2-3 hour safari led by an experienced guide on an open 4x4 safari vehicle. Visit Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. (Advance booking essential). The boat departs from the V&A Waterfront. The boat trip, including the tour on the Island, takes about 4 hours in total. Check the weather for a good day before you book. Kirstenbosch is acclaimed as one of the great botanic gardens of the world. Few gardens can match the sheer grandeur of the setting of Kirstenbosch against the eastern slope of Table Mountain. Depart for Hermanus, the whale Capital of South Africa. July to November is usually the best time to see the Southern Right Whale close to the coast. On the way visit the holiday spots of the Cape and the warmer waters of the Agulhas current of the False Bay. Drive along the coast, stop periodically and visit various little towns as you proceed along the eastern shoreline. Arrive at Hermanus, the whale Capitol of South Africa. Board a boat to experience a close encounter with the largest mammal in the world. Spend the rest of the afternoon in this town, enjoy lunch at leisure before returning along the apple country, across Sir Lowry's Pass with breathtaking views of Cape Town and surroundings.
